On March 2001 , the Islamic republic of Iran’s supreme leader , issued a declaration , underscoring the macro picture of the country’s oil sector . The following objectives shall no doubt be the cornerstone of all activities within the sector
* Expanding exploration activities in the oil and gas sector.
* Building new capacities to oil production in a bid to boost the country’s
economic , political and security capabilities ;
* Increasing gas production , specifically to cover domestic requirements ;
* Attracting necessary financial resources ( local and foreign ) through legal channels ;
* Adding value to the exportation of oil and gas products.
* Optimization of energy consumption.
